Well, we’re here to study biology.
      BIOLOGY!
That’s b — i — o — l — o — g — y.
I said, biology! That’s the study of life.
’cause you’re alive and your cat’s alive
      and your cactus, too.
And there are five kingdoms of living things.
Gimme a “B” – B!
Well, B is for biology.
      That’s the study of life.
We’re all alive so we need to know.
Gimme an “I” – I!
Now, influenza starts with I.
      That’s ev’ryday flu
and that is a virus, so it’s not alive
but it makes us sick so we discuss it, too.
Gimme an “O” – O!
Our O is an octopus in Animalia.
It eats its food down under the sea.
Gimme an “L” – L!
Well, L is Laminaria,
A seaweed that grows in the ocean, blue
and it is in Protista, too.
Gimme an “O” – O!
This O is an onion so please don’t cry,
’cause photosynthesis makes its food,
and that is the reason that Plantae’s its home.
Gimme a “G” – G!
Now Gonorrhea starts with G
and that’s a bacterium you don’t want.
Well, some bacteria are good for you,
but they all are in Monera, too.
Gimme a “Y” – Y!
’Cause yeast makes bread and yeast makes beer
and yeast is in Fungi ’long with mold and ’shrooms.
And that’s the five kingdoms, and they’re all alive,
so we’re here to study ’bout biology.
