By 6:29 PM EDT,
the moon was withdrawiing

A partial eclipse of the sun was visible in Cincinnati, Ohio on 8 April 2005 between 6:05 and 6:33 PM EDT.  These images were taken of a projected image from a modest home telescope (an aged Tasco astronomical telescope, D = 60 mm, f = 910 mm with an H 20 mm eyepiece).  Here is a collage in which sequential images have been pasted together, 6:05 to 6:33:

Here are individual images in the sequence taken.  The time taken is in the name of the jpeg.:

At 6:09, close to the maximum of the eclipse,
our Billy Goat got very excited
and jumped out of his enclosure...
