Here are the grades for Winter Quarter, 2012 Genetics according to UC designated "M" number.

The textbook is An Introduction to Genetic Analysis by Griffith, Wessler, Lewontin and Caroll, 9th Edition (2008)

Here are directories for files associated with this course:

LECTURE NOTES:  A directory of selected lecture notes. Note that I frequently update my notes prior to the lecture.  Be sure to take detailed notes during lecture in your own hand to facilitate learning.
You can then compare your notes with these in the lecture directory.

LABORATORY PROTOCOL PAGES:  here is a directory of Genetics Lab Handouts in pdf format.

Here is a table of historic contributions to the science of genetics with links to related images.

Here are several videos of mitosis and meiosis.
Video:     time lapse photography of mitosis.  And another phase contrast video of mitosis of lung cells.
Video:    diagraming the process of meiosis.  And another animation of meiosis
Web page:  Here is an excellent PBS Nova page contrasting mitosis and meiosis.  (Thanks, JG)

Here is a page of pictures I took while on a sabbatical "pilgrimage" to Mendel's Monestary in Brno, Czeck Republic in Fall of 2006.

We took a field trip to the cytogenetics lab of Dr. Ruth Blough at Children's Hospital on 27 Feb 2003.  Thanks to Rachel for instigating this excellent learning experience for the class.

Here is a great YouTube animation on transcription and translation (thanks Mary Ellen)
Here is a YouTube clip on charging of the tRNA and translation.

Here is a*.gif file that portrays bacteriophage life cycle.

Here are a set of YouTube videos on PCR:

then look at this one which *explains* nothing, but the animation is good:
