Proper preparation of the microscope for storage reduces chances of damage to the instrument, and ensures that it will be ready for the next use without unwanted surprizes.  Students should know and follow these steps to proper storage.  There will be unannounced occasional graded inspections of microscopes following their use. At the bottom of the page is the grade sheet which will be used for that purpose:


CORRECTLY PREPARED:

Correctly stored with respect to correct objective, retracted mechanical stage and power cord securely wrapped.
