Abstract

Experiments were conducted on the abiotic and biotic components of the Clermont campus ecosystem in or near the planned construction site for the purpose of establishing a baseline against which future research will be compared.  Initial data gathered revealed multiple conditions for aquatic and land dwelling life forms and surrounding vegetation which have the potential to be adversely affected by construction.  Future data will be necessary to provide valuable information regarding the balance between preservation of natural resources and economic growth.
